||Ayawaso Central welcomes Twelve new Assembly Members||

The Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Stephen Asamoah Boateng, has urged the newly inducted Assembly Members to work efficiently with little resources allocated to them, noting that he was in discussion with the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development so that more resources will be allotted to Assembly members.

Delivering a speech on behalf of President Akufo-Addo at the inaugural ceremony of the newly elected Assembly Members at Ayawaso Central in Accra on Monday, 12th February, 2024 he noted that the Presidents wishes to congratulate them and has charged them to build working relationship with the Members of parliament, their colleagues, the Traditional Authorities, the Municipal and District Chief Executives to optimize the idea of local governance.

The President encouraged the new members to acquaint themselves with the Local Government Act and create innovative ways to mobilise funds needed for the development of their localities.

Twelve new Assembly members were inaugurated into office along with their unit committee members.
