||CARETAKER MINISTER PAYS COURTESY CALL ON OUTGOING MINISTER
The Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development Mr. Dan Botwe (MP) who is now the Caretaker for the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs (MCRA) has paid a courtesy call on the Outgoing Minister for MCRA Hon. Ebenezer Kojo Kum to familiarize himself with the new office and discuss issues regarding the progress of the Ministry.
Mr. Dan Botwe commended Hon. Kojo Kum for the tremendous job he has done while in office as the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs. He was excited to see a bubbly Ministry and very efficient staff, stating per what the Minister has put in place, it would be easier to work with the Staff as work was flowing smoothly.
The visit has become necessary as the Presidency issued a statement making Mr. Dan Botwe as the Caretaker of MCRA upon receiving the resignation of the Outgoing Minister on Friday 4th February 2023 which takes immediate effect from that day, making Hon. Dan Botwe the Caretaker of the Ministry of Chieftaincy
He indicated that with the system put in place, his role as a caretaker minister would be easy as Staff know what they are about, adding that he was willing to learn and understand the Issues of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs so he can contribute his quota.
The Outgoing Minister for MCRA, on his part, welcomed Mr. Botwe and briefed him on the mandate of the Ministry and the activities lined up for the year.
Ag. Chief Director, Kananpe Wurche Birkumu I, Miss Fati Lily Soale also welcomed Mr. Botwe and brought him to speed on what the Ministry has done so far and upcoming events for the week. She also gave him a tour of the Ministry and introduced the Heads of Units to him.
Mr. Botwe was accompanied by some Heads of Units from the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development.
