||President hails the Hon. Minster Asamoah Boateng||
President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo has praised the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Stephen Asamoah Boateng for being a Leader who always works assiduously to accomplish any task he is given.
Speaking at the Odwira Festival of the Akuapem Traditional Council in the Eastern Region on Friday, 29th September, 2023, the President noted that he was excited the Chiefs and people of Akuapem have put the past behind them and are forging ahead in unity and expressed the hope that the remaining Council members who are yet to join the united front would not hesitate to do so as their Sector Minister is poised to ensure unity reigns among them.
‘I am very confident that Asabee, the Minister for Chieftaincy will see to it that remaining Chiefs come on board as he is efficient at delivering any task assigned him so I know with our own Asabee as Minister, Akuapem will be united’ he emphasized. His Excellency the President, Nana Akufo-Addo was of the view that a united front always contributes to growth and development in every peaceful community.
He expressed his excitement of how colourful and lively Okuapeman has become and assured the Chiefs and people of the Traditional Area his support to ensure they receive their share of the national cake in terms of tourism and development.
The Okuapemhene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akufo III, who touched on the theme for the 2023 festival celebration; ‘Eco-Tourism for Sustainable Development’ appealed to the President to redirect resources to the Akuapem Traditional Area as it is viable for tourism. He also used the occasion to woo investors who are looking for suitable place to develop to make Akuapem their home.
He assured his people that the 2023 Odwira festival marks a new beginning for the Akuapem Traditional Council and called on them to rally behind this new era to development and oneness in Okuampeman.
