|| QUEEN MOTHERS PAID A COURTESY CALL ON THE HON. MINISTER FOR CHIEFTAINCY AND RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS ||

The Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Asamoah Boateng has highlighted the importance of Queen mothers in the development efforts of Government.
He has, therefore, called on them to work together as a team, and in partnership with Chiefs, help resolve the many chieftancy and land disputes across the country.
This way, their contribution to the chieftaincy institution will be much more projected. He also asked them to find clever ways of identifying and approaching Chiefs who can advocate for them.
The sector Minister expressed his profound gratitude to the Queen Mothers for the courtesy call on him in his office on Thursday, April 27, 2023 in Accra.
He acknowledged their critical role in the development of their communities and traditional arears by highlighting their role as custodians of the land in terms of upholding the customs and traditions of society.
The Minister stressed the need for a deeper collaboration between his Ministry and Queen Mothers in promoting good Chieftaincy practices.
The president of the delegation, Nana Otobea II said the purpose of the courtesy call was to congratulate the Minister for his hard work and to express their support for him and the Ministry at large.
Welcoming the Queen Mothers, the Acting Chief director of the Ministry, Madam Fati Lily Soale noted that the meeting is timely because of the critical role Queen Mothers play in their various communities, stressing that the Ministry would collaborate with them to champion the course of chieftaincy.
